outside, the rain pours
inside, my heart weeps
the clouds are black
my feelings so grey
i want to cry
let the tears fall
but i'm scared
i may never stop
then suddenly
the sun shines through the rain
a rainbow lights the sky
i manage a smile
blind back the tears
and i just realize
that life must go on
